Here we use real-life photos to show how different pearl sizes look on the ear and on the collarbone, so you can quickly find the size that suits you best.

  • Petite size: about 4.5–5.5 mm
Delicate and subtle, just a soft glow on the earlobe, ideal for everyday wear, office looks and students who like something refined but not too noticeable.

  • Elegant size: about 6–7 mm
Clearly visible yet still gentle, this is the most versatile size range, easy to match with any outfit and suitable for work, dates and semi‑formal occasions.

  • Presence size: about 7–8.5 mm
From the front you can clearly see a round pearl sitting on the ear, very photogenic and great if you want a bit more presence without feeling too bold.

  • Glamorous size: about 8.5–9.5 mm
Strong outline and eye‑catching shine, perfect for banquets, weddings and important events, or if you enjoy a more distinctive, fashion‑forward style.

Little tip: The position of your piercing and the size of your earlobe will also affect how each size looks. If your earlobes are smaller, we recommend starting from around 5–7 mm.

For customers who love a bolder look, this chart shows how larger pearl studs sit on the earlobe from 9–10 mm up to 14–15 mm.

As the diameter increases, the pearls cover more of the lobe and create a clear statement, ideal for formal events, photos and special occasions.

  • 9–10 mm: Elegant statement size, noticeable but still wearable for dressy everyday looks.
  • 10–11 mm: Strong presence on the ear, perfect for parties, business events and evening outfits.
  • 11–12 mm: Bold and glamorous, recommended for those who like their pearls to really stand out.
  • 12–13 mm: Luxurious, eye‑catching size often seen in high‑end pearl jewelry.
  • 13–14 mm & 14–15 mm: True statement pearls, best for special occasions or customers who enjoy a dramatic, fashion‑forward style.

Section 2|Pearl Necklace Size & Wearing Position

Image 4 | Necklace Size Guide (3–12 mm)

1. How pearl diameter looks

  • 4–5 mm strand: Gives a fine, minimalist feel, perfect for layering or pairing with a delicate collarbone chain.

  • 6–7 mm strand: The most classic size; it looks elegant on its own and works well for both everyday wear and formal occasions.

  • 8–9 mm strand: Has a stronger presence, ideal if you want a subtle “socialite” vibe; looks beautiful with dresses and shirts.

  • 9 mm and above: More suitable for banquets, weddings or important events, with a very substantial look even as a single strand.

2. Necklace length & where it sits

You can refer to these common lengths and match them to your neck size and clothing style:

  • Around 38–40 cm: A short collarbone necklace that sits close to the neck, great with low necklines, square necks and strappy tops.

  • Around 42–45 cm: Falls around the collarbone, the most everyday, easy‑to‑wear length that suits almost everyone.

  • Around 50 cm and longer: Sits above the chest, more relaxed and casual, and very suitable for pairing with turtlenecks and sweaters.

Little styling tip:
If you like layering, try one shorter collarbone chain plus one slightly longer pearl necklace, with about a 5 cm difference in length for a nice layered effect.

By the time you reach this point, you probably already have a clear idea of how each millimeter size translates into how the pearls actually look on your ears and along your collarbone.
Whether you prefer subtle, petite pearls with a gentle elegance or bold, statement sizes with more presence, once you know your everyday style and the occasions you’re dressing for, you can simply refer back to this size chart and the real‑life photos to confidently choose the pearls that suit you best. xx :)
